Somers Peninsula Retreat

7.5 hectares of farmland surround Somers Peninsula Retreat, featuring 4 paddocks for cows and horses, and a large dam with wetlands area for local wildlife. Around the house there is a fruit orchard, vegetable garden and chicken coop.

During the day many local, native birds can be found around the dams often including: ducks, ibis, water hens, black swans and yellow-tailed black cockatoos. During the evening a symphony of frogs can be heard calling from the dams. The whole property is open to you, a short walk around the dams is sure yield some spectacular sights.

A walking track just across the road connects Balnarring, Somers, Bittern, Hastings and Somerville in a roughly 30 km trail, perfect for use with the provided bikes if you want to explore the local area.

Somers is probably most famous for its school camp adjacent to the beautiful Coolart wetlands and homestead, however the newly renovated Somers General Store is attracting a lot of visitors, new and old. The beaches are well protected and serve as a great place for people of all ages to relax and enjoy a swim.

The closest major town in Mornington, which has great food, shopping and recreational activities. Frankston is the closest city, just 30 minutes away with anything that you may need.

Somers is a quiet little town, but allows easy access to all that the Mornington Peninsula has to offer. From the amazing beaches of Port Phillip and Western Port, the fantastic and numerous vineyards and restaurants, there are even some hot springs to explore.
